The Group strengthens its circular strategy through Recursos Circulares

Recursos Circulares is established as a new company within Grupo Armando Alvarez with the ambition of leading the transformation of plastic by extending its lifespan through efficient reuse and recycling processes. With this new plant, we strengthen our commitment as a Group, integrating recycling as a strategic pillar within our industrial model and expanding our scope of activity.

The new plant, located in the Lorca Industrial Park (Murcia), begins operations with a recovery capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year, with the objective of tripling this figure within five years. In an initial phase, we will recycle production scraps generated by our own factories.

Industrial investment and local roots in Murcia

The commissioning of our new recycling plant in Murcia has involved an investment of €10.8 million and is located on a 50,000 m² site in Lorca.

The choice of location is based on strategic criteria. In this same area, we operate Solplast, a company specializing since 1986 in plastic solutions for the agricultural sector, with a manufacturing capacity exceeding 60,000 tons per year and a presence in more than 50 countries.

This proximity fosters industrial integration, optimizes logistics, and strengthens a circular production ecosystem. In addition, the new plant will initially create 25 jobs, with growth expected in line with increased activity, contributing to the economic and social development of the region.

Closing the loop: from waste to resource

With this new plant, we are advancing towards an industrial model where waste becomes the starting point of a new production process. We are committed to recovering, transforming, and reintroducing material into the value chain under demanding quality standards and full traceability.

This initiative strengthens our ability to optimize resources, reduce the consumption of virgin raw materials, and anticipate regulatory and market challenges reshaping the plastics sector in Europe.
