Aspla and Silvalac, companies of the Armando Alvarez Group, took part last week in INDEX™ 2026, the leading international meeting point for the nonwovens industry, where we showcased our advanced solutions for hygiene applications.

Presence at the leading event for the nonwovens industry

From 19 to 22 May, we participated in INDEX™ 2026, the leading international trade fair for the nonwovens sector, held at Palexpo (Geneva, Switzerland).

This year, our participation was represented through Aspla and Silvalac, companies specialized in advanced solutions for the hygiene sector. From stand 2271, we welcomed customers, partners and professionals from across the entire industry value chain.

INDEX™ is a strategic meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers and international customers, and gave us the opportunity to strengthen business relationships, share industry expertise and explore new business opportunities.

Aspla and Silvalac: expertise and complementary hygiene solutions

The joint participation of Aspla and Silvalac allowed us to present a comprehensive proposal for the hygiene sector, combining experience, production capacity and innovation in materials.

Aspla specializes in the development and manufacturing of flexible packaging solutions, including bags for hygiene products such as sanitary pads, diapers, incontinence products and toilet paper, as well as laminated film for wet wipes packaging. These solutions are designed to provide strength, functionality and high-quality shelf presentation, while adapting to each customer's specific requirements.

Meanwhile, Silvalac develops breathable and non-breathable backsheet solutions, which play a key role in the performance of hygiene products. These materials are designed to provide an effective barrier, optimize breathability and ensure end-user comfort.

Advanced solutions for a constantly evolving sector

During the exhibition, we showcased our range of solutions for key hygiene applications:

  • Breathable and non-breathable backsheet solutions for products such as diapers, feminine hygiene and incontinence products.
  • Bags for hygiene products, designed to combine functionality, strength and high-quality finishing.
  • Laminated film for wet wipes packaging, ensuring product freshness, protection against external agents and excellent print quality.

These solutions are developed to meet the demands of a constantly evolving market, where process efficiencyfinal product quality and sustainability are key factors.

In this regard, we continue to focus on the development of more sustainable materials, including mono-material solutions that facilitate recycling, alternatives that avoid PE and PP lamination and the use of recycled materials, as well as downgauging solutions without compromising performance.

Innovation and sustainability as strategic pillars

Our participation in INDEX™ 2026 reinforces the Armando Alvarez Group's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the development of advanced plastic solutions.

Through continuous investment in R&D&I, we work on optimizing materials and processes, contributing to a more circular economy and reducing environmental impact, without compromising the quality, safety and efficiency required by the sector.

We would like to thank all customers, collaborators and professionals who visited our stand during the exhibition and highlight the very positive meetings held throughout this edition of INDEX™ 2026.
