In a recent analysis, Armando Alvarez Group has been recognized for its outstanding business practices that contribute to SDG 2: Zero Hunger, according to a report that evaluates how Spanish companies are implementing aspects linked to corporate sustainability, sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. This study, carried out by UN Global Compact Spain, has involved the participation of more than 2,300 companies and in-depth interviews with experts in the field.

The Report on the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Spanish companies reveals a notable increase in companies’ interest in sustainability. One of the most outstanding data is that almost all large companies (99%) are already working in areas related to the SDGs. Furthermore, 70% of the Spanish companies analyzed have a sustainability strategy or plan and almost half of them are in line with the SDGs. Currently, 84% of Spanish companies consider that sustainability offers competitive advantages and more than half say that it has a positive impact on their financial results.

Within this context, the report makes a special mention to Armando Alvarez Group (page 71) for its good business practices that contribute to SDG 2: Zero Hunger.
