On the occasion of International Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Aspla, company of the Armando Alvarez Group, reaffirms its commitment to raising awareness and supporting research through the “Wrap it in Pink” initiative, which this year takes shape in the campaign “The Value of Pink.”
An action that transforms an everyday task into a symbol of hope and collaboration across the agricultural sector.

How does the “ Wrap it up in Pink” initiative work?

For every roll of pink silage film purchased by farmers and distributors, €1 is raised and donated by Aspla to the IBBTEC (Institute of Biomedicine and Biotechnology of Cantabria) — a joint research centre promoted by the University of Cantabria (UC), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Government of Cantabria. The institute works to advance scientific knowledge and develop new treatments for diseases such as cancer.

This commitment remains alive throughout the year, thanks to the involvement of farmers, distributors, companies and professionals in the agricultural sector, whose participation helps the campaign continue growing and supporting research.

The value of pink, a shared value

This edition marks the first collaboration with ExxonMobil Signature Polymers, whose support strengthens the campaign’s reach and visibility, helping its message spread even further.

In addition, “The Value of Pink” is open to all players in the value chain — producers, suppliers, distributors and companies in the sector who wish to join this shared commitment. Each contribution reinforces the collective impact and shows that when we work together, every action counts.

“We believe in a future where breast cancer is preventable, treatable and curable,”
say Ernesto Sánchez, Director of Aspla, and Belén Úbeda-Romero, Global Alliances Manager at ExxonMobil Signature Polymers.

With their support, we reaffirm the true meaning of pink: the power of collaboration to drive prevention, research and hope.
