Rob Trenchard comes from a family with over 50 years of experience in the plastics sector. After years of evolution and specialization in agricultural applications in Australia, Trenchard spearheaded the development of Solar Shrink®, a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film with advanced mechanical properties. This mulch combines strength, adaptability, and sustainability, optimizing agricultural tasks even in demanding conditions.
What makes Solar Shrink® unique?
Solar Shrink® is made with high-quality polymers and UV stabilizers that extend its lifespan. Its main advantage lies in its ability to shrink in a controlled manner when exposed to the sun’s heat, fitting perfectly to the crop bed. This “shrink” effect not only improves ground protection but also allows for cleaner film removal and a more efficient recycling process.
In addition, its smooth surface reduces dirt build-up, its uniform thickness ensures longer durability, and its superior strength makes it an ideal solution compared to conventional embossed mulches, which are more prone to tears.
