At Grupo Armando Alvarez we are carbon neutral and committed to a sustainable future, taking significant steps to reduce and offset our carbon emissions in all our operations. To this end, we calculate our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, we incorporate renewable energy in 100% of our activities, we are committed to a circular economy model and we reduce, reuse and recycle. In addition, we carry out offset projects thanks to the forestry activities of our company, Alvarez Forestal.

In a recent analysis, Armando Alvarez Group has been recognized for its outstanding business practices that contribute to SDG 2: Zero Hunger, according to a report that evaluates how Spanish companies are implementing aspects linked to corporate sustainability, sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. This study, carried out by UN Global Compact Spain, has involved the participation of more than 2,300 companies and in-depth interviews with experts in the field.

The 4th National Plastic Recycling Congress, organised by ANARPLA, took place on June 5, 2025, at Cines Callao in Madrid, coinciding with World Environment Day. The event brought together over 450 industry professionals to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the transition towards a circular economy. During the congress, Armando Alvarez Group was honoured with the ANARPLA Sustainability Award, and took an active role in the roundtable on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), where Ana Álvarez, Vice President of the Group, emphasised the need for a collective commitment across the entire value chain to make plastic recycling viable.
